Peshawar — The Prime Minister Imran Khan accompanied by the Chief of Army Staff Qamar Javed Bajwa have arrived at Miran Shah, Director General ISPR informed through a tweet on Monday.
PM Imran is likely to announce a mega uplift package for Miran Shah and other projects for the terrorism-hit tribal district North Waziristan.
According to the DG ISPR General Asif Ghafoor, PM Imran and COAS General Bajwa were briefed on the security situation, on-going development projects and other related matters on their visit.

According to sources, the mega package, PM is likely to announce for Miran Shah may include construction of educational institutions, hospitals and sports complex.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor and Chief Minister Shah Farman and Mehmood Khan, Defence Minister Pervez Khattak and other top military, federal and provincial government officials are also accompanying the Prime Minister during his maiden visit to North Waziristan.
North Waziristan is one of the seven tribal districts which were recently terribly targeted by militancy and terrorism. Pakistan army had launched the comprehensive military operation Zarb-e-Azb in 2014 to eliminate the terrorists and destroy their hideouts in North Waziristan.
