
At least eleven people have been martyred and 37 others injured when ‘burqa-clad’ terrorists attacked the hostel of Agriculture Institute in front of the Islamia College Peshawar, on University road, early Friday morning.
As per reports, at least three burqa-clad attackers entered the Institute with masked faces after arriving at the site in a rickshaw. They entered the hostel after shooting the guard at gate and opened fire inside the building.

Security personnel including KP Police and Pakistan Army reached the site promptly and launched an immediate operation.

The main University road and other routes have been cordoned off as the operation went underway. The operation was monitored through aerial surveillance conducted by the aviation division of Pakistan Army.
SSP Operations Sajjad Khan told Geo News that five attackers had been spotted wearing suicide jackets.
Peshawar Capital City Police Officer Tahir Khan and SSP operations were leading the operation which has now been completed.

The hospital sources said that at east seven students, one Frontier Corps (FC) personnel, one police officer, a guard, and a journalist Raham Yousafzai of Channel24 TV are among the wounded.
It is feared that the number of wounded is likely to increase as the process of recovering the injured from the hostel is ongoing.
According to media reports, suicide jackets, grenades, bombs and other weapon were also retrieved from inside the building of the Agricultural Institute.
