Landi Kotal — As many as 15 students got injure when clash took place between students of Government Degree College, Landi Kotal and Khasadar troops here on Thursday.

Administration official said that brawl brook out between Khasadar force personnel and the students’ community when the former prevented the later of blocking Landi Kotal bypass road while protesting against lack of teaching staff in the college and suspension of students’ scholarship.

President students’ Union of the college, Shah Fahad said that they were staging peaceful rally in favor of their demands but the Khasadar troops immediately after their arrival started beaten charge and carried out aerial firing to disperse the students. The rude behavior of the administration annoyed the students that retaliated and injured fifteen students.

Till resolution of their agitation would continue; students.

Tehsildar Landi Kotal, Irshad Mohmand said that two students slightly wounded of kicking in clash among the students and Khasadar as the administration officials were striven to resume Pak-Afghan highway for traffic. The issue was settled after intervention of the high-ups, he maintained.

Later on the student leaders hold meeting with Assistant Political Agent (APA) Landi Kotal, Niaz Mohammad who assured them of solution of their problems and to take departmental action against the responsible Khasadar officials who behaved badly to students.
