Khyber Agency — Free medical camp has been set up in Torkham to provide free medical treatment to the repatriated Afghan families.
The activity that treated hundreds of Afghans has been organized under the auspices of Frontier Corps (FC) at the Torkham border.
The FC officials said that on the direction of Inspector General Frontier Corps (IGFC) the Khyber Rifle troops as goodwill gesture made deduction of specific income of their salaries and contributed and initiated the free medical camp to provide free medical aid to the returning Afghan families.
The organizers further added that last day more than 200 Afghan repatriated nationals were examined in the camp and were facilitated with free medicines.The camp would be continued till the repatriation of Afghan citizens,sources said.
The Afghan returning families thanked the officials for giving them free treatment and declared it a positive step to further boost ties between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
